A "potting" lesson learned

I have these old pots that I was about to throw away when I thought, "Why don't I just paint them?" The sun and weather had really made them ugly. I cleaned them up and let them dry outside. Then, I got some acrylic paints, a kitchen sponge, a small bucket of water, and gloves and went to work. It was so easy! It only took about 20 minutes for each pot. Basically I used a horizontal motion for the two-tone color on the bigger pot and a "sponging" method on the smaller one. When I got done I couldn't wait to plant my flowers in them. I just love the way they look in their new home. Now, I want to get creative and see what else I can come up with!
